Vista 'upgrade' thru Windows users!

Microsoft released its first major update to its Windows Vista operating system Wednesday, prompting a flood of complaints from users who said the service pack fouled up their computers.

Microsoft made the free update available via its Windows Update website and said the software improved the stability, security and performance of the Vista. However it also warned that the service pack could clash with some security software and other programs customers may have installed on their machine.

Numerous people who downloaded the software pack complained that it had interfered with the smooth operation of their computers. Reported troubles ranged from a simple inability to download the software from Microsoft's Windows Update site to sudden spikes in memory usage.

"I downloaded it via Windows Update, and got a blue screen on the third part of the update," wrote "Iggy33" in a comment posted Wednesday on Microsoft's Vista team blog.
"SeppDietrich" said the update had uninstalled all his Nvidia drivers while "Bikkja" said that the update had drastically slowed down the computer.

What will be next step for Microsoft after buying Yahoo?

It's very interesting to see now Microsoft is planning to buy Yahoo. According to the news "US software giant Microsoft, producer of the Windows computer operating system, said Friday it plans to buy internet firm Yahoo! "

Anyhow, let's say that Microsoft owns Yahoo, the question is "What will be next step for Microsoft after buying Yahoo? " Personally, i just wonder that whether Microsoft can takeover e-advertisement and search engine with the power of Yahoo.

Of course, there is strong possible way as Yahoo is pioneer in this field. But on the other hand, search result of Google can provide more satisfaction for all users and believe that no one can influence Google on this issue.

Combination of Microsoft and Yahoo might be a great chance in this industry but if we compare to Google's internet advertising and search engine business, they will surely need more time.

Microsoft Xbox 360 (20GB)

Microsoft Xbox 360 (20GB)

To be honest, i am not good in playing any games but football is one of my favorites. Do you think i am good enough in that game? No:P I always lost in this games but still never give up.

Then interested to read the post or review on such game products and found Microsoft Xbox got star rate 8.5 out of 10 from source.

My friend got this game set and my used to play many times though i am still losing. But now it's out of oder.

What's the editor review on this?

The good: Superior selection of games, including several console-exclusive titles; all games in high-definition; easy-to-use Dashboard interface; excellent online gaming and communications via Xbox Live; plays hundreds of (but not all) original Xbox titles; doubles as a superior digital media hub and Windows Media Center extender; online Marketplace allows for easy purchases of downloadable full-scale games, mini-games, movies, and TV shows; latest version offers HDMI output with 1080p support.

The bad: Early versions of the console prone to "red ring of death" system crash; noisy exhaust fan and DVD drive; gigantic oversize power supply; no built-in wireless networking or flash media reader; DVD playback has substandard video quality; support for next-gen HD DVD movies requires a bulky external accessory; 20GB hard drive fills up very quickly; online gaming requires a paid subscription to Xbox Live.
The bottom line: With its extensive digital media features, a superior online service, and an excellent game library, the Xbox 360 remains the game console to beat.
Specs: Product Description: Xbox 360 - Game console; Media Type: DVD-ROM; Processor: 1 x IBM PowerPC 3 cores 3.2 GHz

What's 'Wow' in Vista and Hope of Microsoft

Vista new software becomes more popular among the people who favourites new gadget but it sitll have lots of error and block with hardward itself or with other soft-ware releases.

In an interview Wednesday morning, Corporate Vice President Mike Nash acknowledged that the initial experience for many consumers was a frustrating one as they found their old software might not work right or that their hardware lacked the proper driver.
But, he insists, the situation is much better now. Not only are the hardware drivers out there, they are readily available.

"You don't have to go on a scavenger hunt," Nash said. "They are on Windows Update." And he continued ""What we've decided is the way to deliver those experiences, whether it's communications or memories, is with Live, Photos with Vista today is way better than when we shipped Vista a year ago."

Microsoft will compete with Flickr and SmugMug

What will be next generation of Microsoft as it's planning to recruit a program manager to lead the project which will compete with Flickr and SmugMug and other photos, videos sharing.

In my opinion, it will be a question to ask whether Microsoft can beat over to Flickr which is most popular among the people and handle the biggest free online photo sharing market.

Review said ""This feature team is building a next-generation photo and video-sharing service that will compete with Flickr, SmugMug, and other photo Web solutions today," according to the posting. It's clear who the competition is"

And continued " but it really needs to focus on making sure that the service plays nicely with a variety of download and upload methods. This will be a welcome replacement to Microsoft's current photo-sharing solution in Windows Live Spaces "
